Overview
At Inbound 2025, HubSpot officially doubled down on its new AI-powered CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) system, available through Commerce Hub Professional and Enterprise. It’s a major upgrade in functionality but it comes with a major limitation for anyone who cares about custom quote templates.
That limitation:
👉 Custom templates are only available under Legacy Quotes.
👉 The new AI-powered CPQ quotes don’t allow custom templates at this time
Frame of Work’s quote template library was built specifically for legacy quotes. If your HubSpot portal doesn’t support legacy quotes anymore, you won’t be able to use Frame of Work templates, at least until HubSpot supports custom templating under the new CPQ experience.
Before you purchase a template, make sure that you can still access and use Legacy Quotes!

How to Check if Your HubSpot Portal Can Use Frame of Work Templates
Not every HubSpot account still has access to legacy quotes. Here are the conditions:
✅ You still have access to Legacy Quotes if…
- Your HubSpot account was created before September 3, 2025, and
- You created at least one legacy quote in the 6 months before that date, and
- Your seat isn't a Commerce Hub seat
❌ You do not have access if…
- Your HubSpot account was created after September 3, 2025, or
- You are on Commerce Hub Professional or Enterprise with Commerce Hub seats, or
- You’ve never created a legacy quote before September 2025.
What this means for Frame of Work users
- If your portal qualifies under the conditions above, you can still install and use Frame of Work’s template library to deliver fully branded, professional quotes.
- If your portal only has access to the new AI-powered CPQ quotes, you’ll be limited to HubSpot’s defaults for now. Frame of Work is closely tracking HubSpot’s roadmap, and as soon as custom templating is supported under the new system, we’ll be ready with a full library of templates.
